I’ve decided that today is the final day.

With these constant cravings turning this into torture I don’t think I’m going to get anything useful out of this. Sure it was still great for my health. My eyes got much brighter and inflammation levels dropped drastically.

I planned to keep up with this for few more days, but it’s not worth torturing yourself with.

Usually by this time I have no problems with cravings, in fact I don’t even feel like eating, have lots of energy and generally feeling great. Today I’m still miserable and lethargic.

Let’s try again next time.

I think I made few mistakes that lead to this failure. Hope this is something you can also learn from.

  • I didn’t prepare properly. I made two big mistakes in preparation.
    • I eat a heavy (and unhealthy) dinner with my friends the day before my fast.
    • I didn’t wean myself off coffee before hand. I was very irritable and generally not in a very good mood today. I had a cup of green tea (green tea has a bit of caffeine) and immediately felt better. So my bad mood was caffeine withdrawal. You don’t want to have caffeine withdrawal symptom on top of everything else you are going through on a fast.
  • I had negative beliefs about fasting. I have always thought of fasting as a bit of torture and something you have to push yourself through. And, surprise, surprise, that’s exactly what I got. Fasting can, and should, be an enjoyable time. So before my next fast I’m going to work on my beliefs so that they are positive. I explain how to rewrite your beliefs in Clear Skin Coach (part of Clear for Life package).
  • I didn’t prepare anything to do during the fast. So I got bored - big time. And that just made the negative thoughts in my head that much stronger. For me 4 days of idling around was enough. I just couldn’t take anymore. I was too groggy to get any work or anything else useful done. So I just read books, watched few movies and idled around.

Anyway, I’m still happy that I did the fast. It was good for my health, I learned few lessons and it was a major self-discipline exercise.

And I hope you can learn something from my mistakes also. I highly recommend fasting/detoxing as a part of your acne cure arsenal. Just don’t start with water fasting. Clear for Life has plenty of detox diet recipes that you can try. Once you have cleaned out your system by following the clear skin lifestyle and have completed few detoxes you can try water fasting (if you want to, you can cure acne even without water fasting).

I don’t know how to get a hold of you. Whatever i do your not answering my desperate e-mail’s or my “one response” questions. Basically i need to know if eating only fruits and vegetables will sustain my healthful needs of around 2500 calories. And if so, how would i do so? With lots of fruits? with lots of veggies? Maybe with high calorie fruits like avocados, or are those too high in fat as well? i also need very desperately to find out if i could receive the next 6 lessons of Acne 101 ASAP instead of waiting through 7 weeks of torture? If yes, HOW?
Also, please e-mail me with this if possible.
I am confused, do you only respond to customers of your book, or are you helpful to those with acne that have spent all of there money on the false products.

    Micah,

You need to relax a bit.

First, I haven’t received any emails from you. If you’ve sent they could have been mistaken as spam. Since my email is ‘public’ it gets lots of spam. So if the subject line doesn’t clearly show acne or something along those lines it usually goes down as spam.

Then you need to realize that I’m under no obligation to answer your emails.

As you are not my customer I’m doing this as a free service for you. I don’t think I’m getting anything out of this.

So excuse me if I don’t make it the highest priority in my life to answer all the free emails and comments I get. I’ll try to get to all of them, but my customer emails take priority. Plus I have a life to live also.

I already answered your question about calories in your other comment. Basically just eat more fruits. A banana is 100 calories. It’s not that difficult to eat 5 of them.

Avocados are too high in fat to eat in large quantities. It’ll mess up your blood sugar controls and probably wreck your skin - especially if you eat lots of sugary fruits also.

I don’t see why you make it a ‘torture’ to wait a week for the next lesson. It’s not like I’m taking something away from you. Use the time to live your life and perhaps do your own research to understand that material I discussed in the previous lessons.

There’s a reason I give them out as separate lessons. One is that for you to understand something you probably have to hear it over and over. If I just give out all the lessons at one go most people read them, think they are interesting and forget them by next week.

And each lessons comes with a tip. Use the week to try it out and integrate them into your life. The whole point is for you to start making small lifestyle changes that over time lead to permanently clear skin.

Each lesson should give you more than enough to chew on. It won’t magically transform your life to read them all at once.

And if you still make it like torture, then I’d suggest stop doing it.

    Hello Seppo

I’m suffering from adult acne for 3 years, i’ve read Clear for life and I was planning to start a liver flush. But i couldn’t be courage enough to start:( So i’ve found a way which gonna make me brace up, but i have no idea is it good or bad for my health, so i would like to hear a comment from you about:

I’m muslim an nowadays we live sacred days, we are celebrating these days, having fasts. On a typical ramadan fast we are free to eat and drink till dusk to dawn (we are not allowed to eat or drink anything during the day. It gives me at least 15 hours for detox. I’m doing this everyday but i’m eating normal foods (including proteins, carbs, grains) after dawn. Do you think a normal body is capable to staying 15 hours hungry and after that eat only raw vegetables and fruits?
    Thank you :)

    Yase,

The average person carries enough fat to survive months without eating - even if the person is not fat.

So your body has no problems with fasting 15 hours and eating only fruits and veggies in the evening.

However can you go though the ordeal is entirely different matter. And this has nothing to do with you in particular. It’s just that the average person is addicted to unhealthy foods and going through a fast like that can produce fairly severe withdrawal symptoms. They aren’t dangerous, just uncomfortable.

I’d say it’s ok to eat some cooked food in the evening also. 15 hours of fasting a day alone will help your body a lot.

Liver flush? I wouldn’t recommend them. In rare cases they can be dangerous, but my pain issue with them is that they aren’t required. Your liver can clear itself just fine when your diet and lifestyle allows it. I always prefer to tinker and fix the body as little as possible.
